SplitLab

Privacy Policy

SplitLab ("the app") is a run-analytics app for iPhone. This policy explains what data the app uses and how it is handled. SplitLab keeps your data on your device. It has no servers, no accounts, and no tracking.

Data the app accesses

With your permission, SplitLab reads the following from Apple Health (HealthKit):

  • Running workouts and their route (GPS) data
  • Heart-rate samples recorded during workouts
  • Recovery and fitness metrics: resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, sleep, and VO₂max

The app only reads this data. It never writes to Apple Health.

If you do not grant Health access, the app runs entirely on built-in sample data, which is clearly labeled as demo data.

How the data is used

All analysis — route matching, segment and personal-record detection, effort scoring, health correlations, and readiness — is computed on your device. Your health and location data is used solely to produce these analytics for you.

Data sharing and storage

  • SplitLab does not transmit your health, location, or workout data off your device.
  • SplitLab does not use your data for advertising or marketing, and does not share or sell it to third parties.
  • SplitLab has no user accounts and no analytics or tracking SDKs.
  • Health data accessed via HealthKit is never used for any purpose other than providing the app's features to you, consistent with Apple's HealthKit requirements.

Your control

You can review or revoke SplitLab's access to Health data at any time in the iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Health › SplitLab screen, or from within the Health app. Deleting the app removes any on-device data it created.

Children

SplitLab is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children.
